Artwork from Truro College’s photography students will be shown in a week long exhibition hosted by the Knowledge Spa at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
The exhibition, entitled ‘8 for 8’ will run from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th April 2012.
The higher education students are in the final year of Truro College’s FdA Action Photography course and have taken inspiration for their work from the research remit of the European Centre for Environment and Human Health.
The resulting photography delivers a thought provoking take on the way we perceive our environment and includes a diverse range of images from an incredible close up of the human eye to a surfer with a broken board.
The open evening for the event will be held on Tuesday 24th April from 5pm to 7pm at the Knoweldge Spa, where students and tutors will be available to discuss their work.
Professor Lora Fleming, Director at the Centre said:
“Part of our research is seeking to challenge the boundaries between science and art. The work Truro College’s students have produced provides us with novel insights into how people perceive the environment and their interactions with it. It’s fantastic to be able to work with local partners and build upon the concept of the Truro Health & Wellbeing Campus.”
